Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas!

Ammon and I had a very nice Christmas this year. We are blessed to be able to spend time with both of our families for the holidays. Even thought the journey there was a little crazy! What do I mean you are probably asking... Well, here you go:
Merry Christmas #1: We left on Monday afternoon and headed to Logan to the Utah State vs. U of U basketball game. Games in the Spectrum are AMAZING and so fun... well most of the time they are. On this particular trip to Logan, Ammon's car seemed to be driving extremely loud. There was a loud roar coming from the tires, or so we thought. The further we drove, the louder it got, and the more worried it became. We got to Logan and decided we had better have it checked out. Well, our wheel bering (don't know how to spell that!) was bad. So, we had to leave our car at the shop over night and paid the $430 to replace it.
Merry Christmas #2: Following the car incident, we were looking forward to a fun basketball game. We both love sports, and it was fun to be cheering for different teams. Well we get to the game and are enjoying ourselves. Ammon wore his Utah shirt of course, (which may have been a mistake, but doesn't a fan have that right?) and the Utes made a big play, so he stood up to clap, and as he was going to sit back down, a fan behind him shoves him and yells "SIT DOWN! IF YOU WANT TO STAND UP, GO SIT SOMEWHERE ELSE!" Might I emphasize that he simply stood up to cheer and to sit back down. So Ammon turns around and says "If you want me to sit down, just ask! Don't shove me." So then Ammon and I sat there seething for about 5 minutues, and then Ammon leans forward and tells my brother and his fiance, who were sitting in front of us and didn't see/hear the exchange. Well, my brother has a little more of a temper and gets up and walks up to the guy and says something like "Sir, please don't shove my brother in law. You are an Aggie, I'm and Aggie. Don't you think we should have a little respect for the opposing team and show a little big of class and sportsmanship?" and the guy starts yelling "I didn't know he was off-balance." I said, "What does that have to do with anything? You don't have to shove him, he stood up for two seconds!!"The guy started yelling over and over (in our faces) at my brother, Ammon and myself "SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" then his 75 year old dad starts yelling at all of us, etc, etc, etc. So then I really started to get upset (I HATE HATE contension and yelling and rude people). My brother turns around and sees me upset and tells the guy to apologize to me, etc. The guys said "I don't owe any of you an apology." And some other rude things. After that it was over, but it completely ruined the game for everyone, and probably everyone around us, but I just couldn't believe anyone could be SO RUDE!?? Who DOES THAT!?
Merry Christmas #3:So, following the game, everyone was a little upset. But we decided to put it behind us. Ammon and I wake up the next morning, go pick up our car, do some last minute shopping. Well, the freeway from Tremonton to Burley was closed because of bad roads, so we had to take the long way around and go up through Pocatello and down to Oakley. We were thrilled to have our car fixed and to be on our way home to enjoy each other and our family. Well, strangely enough, the jet-engine sound that had been coming from our tires was... still there! OH GREAT. So we worry all the way to Burley, and get the great news that another wheel bering was bad! Couldn't they have found that earlier, when we were in Logan having the first one replaced?! So anyway we had to get that taken care of on the other back wheel. WHAT A TRIP!

Despite the three above events, we did have a great Christmas. We ate Christmas Eve dinner with the McBrides, stayed the night at the Cranney's since the little kids wake up far earlier than the McBride big kids. And then we went back to McBride's Christmas morning later on, had breakfast and relaxed. We got snowed in every time we tried to leave my parents house. The wind was blowing all of the snow into our driveway. We had to use my dad's huge tractor and loader to get out. I've never seen drifts that big there!

Here's Mary, Joseph, and Jesus (Bentley, Austin, and Camden) performing the little Christmas story

Here's Camden and I looking beautiful on Christmas morning!
Yes, here we are looking beautiful again! Swollen eyes and all!
Here's me, my cute sister and mom
And my cute husband enjoying his new TV

We are grateful for the knowledge we have of Jesus Christ and his perfect example. We are so grateful for the spritual and material blessings in our lives, and for the happiness we share together.
Ammon and I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas.

Oh Ali! I was thinking of you during the huge snow storms and I'm glad you made it there and back safely (despite rude people).
