Day 3: Whale Watching

Thursday of our trip we went whale watching. We had heard from people at the Luau that it was awesome. They saw a bunch of whales so we decided to go. It was AWESOME. I had been whale watching before, in Oregon, but this was so much better. Within 15 minutes of being out on the boat, we saw a whale. He even showed us his tail fin, which was the only tail we saw that day. About 10 minutes later, we saw 2 more. It was a momma and her baby! So we followed them for probably an hour and a half. The baby kept breaching and jumped all the way out of the water once! It was awesome! I think I got a video of it, which I will post as soon as I can get it to work. But here are some pics until then!

Ammon on the board walk

This is a whale way outside our hotel room that we randomly kept seeing jump.

This is the babies head, and the momma's pectoral fin!

And here is the BABY! He was just like a child, playing and jumping and splashing the whole time. He is a LARGE baby though... only about 2 tons!

YAY! You put some pics on here. I am still way jealous of your trip.. I feel like I haven't seen you in a while. We need to go see Earth before it is out of the theatres! :)
