The big Oakley Pioneer Days started off for Ammon and I playing in the annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament. We do it every year, and every year we have fun. Ammon played with his little brother Evan and his friend. I played with my old coach, her in laws, and Ammon's little sister Anna. We may or may not have broken the rules and had 5 instead of 4. :) We needed the extra help.
The next morning bright and early, Trev, my dad, and I ran the Goose Creek Run Off. It was FUN! I was really nervous because with the move and all, my training has suffered, but I actually did better than expected and enjoyed myself. I'm doing it again next year... hopefully with more preparation and training. The rest of the family came to support.
The fun weekend ended with the Oakley Rodeo, the Vigilante burger (heart attack in a bun) and the fireworks. It was so fun to see old friends and catch up with them throughout the weekend.
My dad and Trev-Trev beat both of us but ran out to help us to the finish line. My dad is 60 and still going strong! Go DAD!
High FIVE!!!
Lazy Ammon didn't run with me!
My Dad and I-Green was the color of the day for us.

How fun....Pioneer Days are the best! You make me want to run a little too...but I need to remember everytime I do I am so slow I embarrass myself. I always tell Mindy if she will run with me I will run again. You will have to help me ...she is not caving in :(! Your blog is so cute, I love seeing what you two are up too!
