Here's March in a Nutshell

We went to Las Vegas for the WAC basketball tournament, and Ammon went to some trade shows for work while we were there too. We watched some basketball, shopped and thought we would enjoy the weather, but the weather wasn't actually that warm, and it was really windy. That was a bummer!  It was still nicer than it was in Utah and we had a good time relaxing. We went to the Bass Outdoor Pro Shop, and Gavin loved it.  There are hundreds of animals on display and a huge fish tank that he loved.

We ate at Hash House A-Go-Go and had this strange concoction for brunch one day. Waffles with whole strips of bacon in them, topped with fried chicken and leeks.  It was pretty good, but not something you want to eat every day that's for sure.  I'm sure my cholesterol jumped several points after that meal. :)

I went to the Mob Attraction at the Tropicana with my family while Ammon was at a trade show. It was pretty interesting to learn about the mafia and all the ties to famous people like Frank Sinatra, and the history of Las Vegas and the mob. Here's a silly picture from our visit.

My mom with one of the Utah State recruits, he's huge, don't you think? He was a good sport when Ammon asked if my mom could get a picture with him. :)

Ammon has a mission friend that is going to Medical school in Vegas, so we met up with him, his wife, and little boys one night for dinner.  One of them is just 6 weeks older than Gavin, so they entertained each other for a little bit, it was cute. They would try to feed each other and tease too.  It was fun to see them and catch up.

We also enjoyed lemon custard from Nielsons Frozen Custard. It was SO GOOD. My family used to eat custard growing up when we would go to Aggie Ice Cream in Logan, but I hadn't had it since then, so it was fun to eat it and remember.

Ammon turned 27!  How are we already 26 and 27?  For his birthday he got a shotgun. Early. So, I got him some more shells for it and some treats.  He has been enjoying it and going shooting with his brothers and friends. He loves it!

When we could, we enjoyed the weather outside, and Gavin loves exploring and riding in his truck!

We saw the baby chicks at Cal Ranch. Gavin LOVES them!  He would look at them and then look at me and squeal and say "ooh!"

Gavin loves our electric toothbrush. He gets a kick out of it. I turn it on for him and he grins and giggles. It tickles his mouth, but he likes it and begs for it all the time.

Ammon and I made a trip to Logan and I got to see my dear friend Brittany. Oh, how I've missed her. We had so much fun catching up, and our kids are only a few weeks apart. They both were obsessed with this chair and loved climbing on and sitting on it.  I'm so glad they could meet and play!

So that was our March in a nutshell! Now for April and May...
